  Chris Rourke

  Founder and CEO

  About Chris

  Chris never stands still. Whether it’s delivering training or developing UX strategies, his energy and enthusiasm helps to keep the whole business moving in the right direction.

  As well as degrees in Engineering Psychology and Ergonomics, he has over 25 years applying his skills in the fields of user experience, human factors and training – working all over the world with the likes of Hewlett Packard, Emirates and the US Department of Transportation. Chris has served on the board of Scotland’s tech industry group ScotlandIS and is the UK National Expert for the UX Qualification Board. He also established the Scottish Chapter of the UXPA – which he ran for nearly a decade.

  His fascination in UX never wavers, particularly in designing information architectures and exploring the evolving ways people use technology in their lives.

  Managing Director

  About Emma

  Emma is the voice and vision that drives our business forward – discovering opportunities for both the team and our clients along the way.

  Along with a Business degree and Marketing Diploma, much of her distinguished career has focussed on customer insight and designing digital experiences. Emma loves going above and beyond clients’ expectations – and she’s proud to have a team that always manage to do exactly that. She’s also proud to be a mentor for Napier University students.

  Outside of the industry, Emma loves getting crafty, gardening and spending time with her family (even if most of that’s taken up organising her young daughter’s social engagements).

  About Stephen

  Stephen drives the vision and strategies that enable our services – delivering insight and design that shapes excellent customer experiences.

  As well as degrees in Computer Science and Human Factors of Information Design, Stephen’s experience in technology and management consulting goes back over 20 years. He’s passionate about creating experiences that work the way we do – that are useful, usable and deeply engaging.

  Stephen’s own favourite experiences usually involve food and family time – preferably when they can be enjoyed in beautiful places.

  With over 20 years’ experience in the finance industry, across a number of companies in Scotland, Julie loves working as part of a strong team.

  She’s also a lover of cooking and travel, and spends some of her time working as a Medical Herbalist.

  As Client Services Director, Arthur partners with our clients to get the most out of their engagement with User Vision – enabling them to continuously improve the Customer Experience of their products and services ensuring that they meet the needs of their target audience in a way that is both usable and compelling.

  Having worked in UX since 2015, Arthur has partnered with the many of the top brands in the UK and globally across all industries to deliver successful outcomes.

  Outside of work, Arthur likes to travel, work out at the gym, and cook. Most recently he has started flying lessons as he works towards his Private Pilates License.

  About Paula

  Paula has been a UX professional for the last 10 years. With experience in all the different parts of the design cycle from user research, wireframes and prototypes, evaluating designs with real users, to measuring success with data analytics. Paula is passionate about including a user centred design approach to all types of processes and teams.
  In recent years, Paula has been leading international teams and projects for different types of organisations (from startups to agencies and both in-house and off-shore teams) with a broad range of sectors (financial, mobile, public, health, etc).

  Alex Matthews

  Associate Digital Transformation Lead

  About Alex

  Alex has over 20 years of consulting and technology delivery experience. Recently he has focussed on helping organisations to understand the impact that new technologies will have on their businesses. As well as developing digital strategies, initiating digital transformation programmes, building skills and capabilities, and leading multi-disciplinary teams in the Agile delivery of user-centred products and services. He has worked extensively with public and private sector organisations across Scotland. In 2017 Alex was invited by Scottish Parliament to contribute to the development of Scottish Government's Digital Health and Care Strategy. In 2019 he delivered a number of guest lectures on digital transformation for the University of Edinburgh Business Schools' MBA Programme.

  Paul Rouke

  Associate Principal Consultant

  About Paul

  Paul started his digital career as a UX designer 20 years ago, becoming the 1st UX designer at Shop Direct. Since then he has gone on to dedicate his career to understanding user behaviour and working with brands from around the world, helping them become more customer-centric.

  From 2004 until 2020 Paul ran highly respected UX and CRO agency PRWD, prior to moving into consultancy at the start of 2021. It was during his time running PRWD that he became a writer, trainer, author and university lecturer. Paul's most significant achievements have been leading projects for brands including Nike and Red Bull, training for Google Digital Garage and becoming an international keynote speaker. He has worked in multiple sectors, engaging with people from all levels of organisations both big and small.

  About Alan

  Alan is a senior consultant with over 10 years’ experience focused on user-centred design.

  Along with an MSc in Human Computer Interaction, Alan has experience in UX-related roles in financial services and higher education. His ongoing mission is to make sure users don’t pay the price for uninformed design decisions.

  Outside of work, Alan is into most things with wheels and an engine. Not to mention film, literature and the beautiful British countryside.

  Harjit has completed a Software Development course and prior to this role worked as a Programming Analyst where she was responsible for designing and building software.

  About Nikki

  Away from the office, some things that make Nikki happy are family, friends and baking (she’s the self-confessed Mary Berry of User Vision).

With a background in academic research, and a recent focus on software development, Giulia loves learning about the small changes that can make a big difference to usability.

  Outside of work, Giulia likes knitting, vegan cooking, and comedy - she spent two years at clown school in Paris, being berated by an angry master clown armed with a little drum.

Raimonda has many years of experience in the third sector - while managing teams, Raimonda supported people with disabilities to actively participate in the design and shaping of services. She has a masters’ degree in Interaction Design.
