  Chris Rourke

  Founder and CEO

  About Chris

  Chris never stands still. Whether it’s delivering training or developing UX strategies, his energy and enthusiasm helps to keep the whole business moving in the right direction.

  As well as degrees in Engineering Psychology and Ergonomics, he has over 25 years applying his skills in the fields of user experience, human factors and training – working all over the world with the likes of Hewlett Packard, Emirates and the US Department of Transportation. Chris has served on the board of Scotland’s tech industry group ScotlandIS and is the UK National Expert for the UX Qualification Board. He also established the Scottish Chapter of the UXPA – which he ran for nearly a decade.

  His fascination in UX never wavers, particularly in designing information architectures and exploring the evolving ways people use technology in their lives.

  Emma Kirk

  Managing Director

  About Emma

  Emma is the voice and vision that drives our business forward – discovering opportunities for both the team and our clients along the way.

  Along with a Business degree and Marketing Diploma, much of her distinguished career has focussed on customer insight and designing digital experiences. Emma loves going above and beyond clients’ expectations – and she’s proud to have a team that always manage to do exactly that. She’s also proud to be a mentor for Napier University students.

  Outside of the industry, Emma loves getting crafty, gardening and spending time with her family (even if most of that’s taken up organising her young daughter’s social engagements).

  With a strong foundation in computer science, human factors, and information design, as well as over 25 years in technology, usability, and UX, Steve has a unique ability to bridge user needs with cutting-edge solutions. As Director of Consulting at User Vision, he leads our talented team of researchers and designers, partnering with clients worldwide to shape exceptional, insight-driven experiences that elevate brands and enrich the lives of their users.

  Outside of work, Steve enjoys most sports that require a crash helmet, with skiing and mountain biking at the top of his list.

  Julie looks after all things financial at User Vision. It’s a role she’s enjoyed for more than 10 years.

  With over 20 years’ experience in the finance industry, across a number of companies in Scotland, Julie loves working as part of a strong team.

  She’s also a lover of cooking and travel, and spends some of her time working as a Medical Herbalist.

  Having worked in UX since 2015, Arthur has partnered with the many of the top brands in the UK and globally across all industries to deliver successful outcomes.

  Outside of work, Arthur likes to travel, work out at the gym, and cook. Most recently he has started flying lessons as he works towards his Private Pilots License.

  Keith Allan

  Principal Accessibility Consultant

  About Keith

  Keith is a UX and Accessibility Consultant dedicated to crafting inclusive digital experiences through innovative accessibility solutions.

  As a Principal Accessibility Consultant, Keith champions inclusive design to transform digital experiences. He collaborates with clients in the public, private, and third sectors to embed inclusive design in their organizations.

  Regularly conducting accessibility audits, usability testing with individuals with disabilities, and delivering training for design, development, UX, QA, and management teams, Keith ensures accessibility is seamlessly integrated into projects. He also performs accessibility maturity audits.

  Leading a team of five talented consultants, Keith's background in development enables him to mentor clients effectively, ensuring comprehensive and effective accessibility practices.

  Outside of work, Keith is passionate about playing music, cycling, skateboarding, and spending time with his children.

  About Harjit

  Harjit is a Senior Accessibility Consultant with a passion for technology and accessible design thinking. Harjit has a background in Social Work and Psychology and values the importance of creating an inclusive digital experience which focuses on understanding the needs of the user.

  Harjit has completed a Software Development course and prior to this role worked as a Programming Analyst where she was responsible for designing and building software.

  Away from the world of UX, Harjit loves travelling and spending time with her family, friends and her wee pup.

  About Raimonda

  Raimonda is passionate about truly understanding the needs and behaviours of people in order to create meaningful solutions. She believes in the importance of creating meaningful user experiences which are created through the inclusion of everyone’s voice. Raimonda has many years of experience in the third sector - while managing teams, Raimonda supported people with disabilities to actively participate in the design and shaping of services. She has a masters’ degree in Interaction Design.

  Outside of work, Raimonda enjoys exploring the Scottish hill and immersing herself into other less familiar cultures.

  Snigdha Ramkumar

  Accessibility Consultant

  About Snigdha

  Snigdha is passionate about human-computer interaction and leveraging technology to make the world a more inclusive place. With a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering and a master’s in cognitive science, Snigdha has a strong foundation in various programming languages, user research, and data analysis. She enjoys learning and apart from practical experience, she has completed courses to improve her knowledge about web accessibility, WCAG criteria, and assistive technology. Her experience as a writer helps her communicate complex ideas and findings effectively, which proves to be helpful when interacting with clients and delivering reports.

  Kieran Rooney

  Accessibility Consultant

  About Kieran

  Kieran is passionate about everyone having equal access to the web and computing. With a background in mental health, having completed a master's degree in health psychology, and an undergraduate in Psychology, he has knowledge of the effect physical and mental health issues can have on an individual's day to day life. Kieran has extensive face to face research experience. After university, he worked at Scotland’s Association for Mental health and worked first hand with individuals with enduring mental and physical health conditions to support them to live a fulfilling life. He has also recently completed a software development bootcamp which sparked his passion for UX.
  
  Outside of work, he is a proud budgie dad and lover of folk and country music. Most of his spare time is spent learning the guitar both independently and with the Glasgow Folk Workshop.

  About Manasvi

  Manasvi is an Accessibility Analyst driven by a keen enthusiasm for digital media. She believes everyone should have access to and enjoy the benefits of the digital world. With a background in quality assurance, technology, and design, she is skilled in thoughtful evaluation, user-focused thinking, and interactive design.

  Previously at Deloitte, Manasvi planned and executed comprehensive testing for a variety of digital solutions to ensure a high-quality experience for all users. Transitioning into interaction design, she honed and developed her skills in the web, mobile, and immersive space.

  Beyond her work, Manasvi is a passionate creative, finding joy in visual and interactive art projects. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering creating fun graphics for games.
