UX (user experience) is something everyone talks about in digital design, but what does it actually mean? What makes a good user experience and how can you be confident that your design will deliver a good user experience (not just a user interface)?
The user-centred design process starts with knowledge about and empathy for the end user. As a developer or front end designer you may be several steps removed from the people who will be using what you create. Filling in those gaps to understand their tasks, expectations and previous knowledge is critical for the success of your software, not matter now much you love it.
We’re pleased to give a short talk on the relation between UX and UI as CodeClan celebrate 100 employers in their community. CodeClan are Scotland’s first accredited digital skills academy with campuses in both Edinburgh and Glasgow. They offer a range of software development courses through immersive full-time and part-time learning, helping students to kick start a career in tech.
Join User Vision and other speakers at their first ever ‘Digital Talks’ meetup hosted at the Edinburgh campus, featuring four incredibly talented digital specialists from the tech community here in Scotland. Talks will cover:
- UX / UI
- Business Analysis in an Agile environment
Something for everyone.
