CPUX Foundation Training Course London March 2017

Mar 2017

After several sell out courses in Edinburgh 2016 we are bringing our fantastic training to London in 2017. If you want to brush up on your UX skills and gain an international recognised UX accreditation with our Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience (CPUX) Foundation Level certificate, then this course is you for you.

We are currently searching for a suitable venue for this course, but can confirm it will be in central London- we will update the website as soon as we find the right place.

The CPUX professional certification is provided by the International Usability and User Experience Qualification Board (UXQB®),  a consortium of international experts in usability and user experience and is recognised by UXPA UK, UXPA Switzerland and the German UPA. The UXQB develops and maintains the world-wide certification program for usability and user experience professionals. Uniquely, the CPUX program is developed with the active participation of UX experts from participating countries, and exams are independently provided and scored by the International Software Quality Institute (iSQI).

What will I learn?

The course is based on content from the International Usability and User Experience Qualification Board (UXQB) and delivered by Chris Rourke, Founder and CEO of User Vision.

The course provides an introduction to usability and user experience in the areas of:

  • Usability principles and guidelines
  • Understanding and defining the context of use: procedures for analysis, observation, interview, personas, scenarios, user groups
  • Learn how to gather and specify user requirements
  • Describing user interaction: design, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, dialogue principles, heuristics, guidelines, best practice in error messaging
  • Usability Testing and other evaluation methods: step-by-step approach in running a usability test, typical errors, heuristic evaluation, questionnaires
  • Process management and application of methods: Process Model for user-centred design, UX roles in an organisation.

Is it for me?

Yes! Foundation level certification is appropriate for anyone who works in UX or who wants to become familiar with the basics of usability, for example product managers, software developers and designers of all interactive systems that have a user interface.  The qualification will:

  • ensure that your knowledge of usability and user experience is completely up to date
  • enable you to acquire knowledge and skills that follow the established conventions
  • provide recognised proof of your knowledge of usability and user experience
  • give you the qualification needed to advance to the higher certificates in the areas of usability testing (CPUX-UT) and user requirements engineering (CPUX-UR)
