User Vision are offering the new, internationally recognised qualification for UX professionals – the Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience (CPUX) Foundation Level certificate. 

This comprehensive course, developed by UX and usability experts from the International Usability and User Experience Qualification Board (UXQB®),  a consortium of international experts in usability and user experience and is recognised by UXPA UK, UXPA Switzerland and the German UPA. The UXQB develops and maintains the world-wide certification program for usability and user experience professionals. Uniquely, the CPUX program is developed with the active participation of UX experts from participating countries, and exams are independently provided and scored by the International Software Quality Institute (iSQI)

Chris is our most experienced trainer and has been delivering training even before 2000 when he founded User Vision. He has conducted UX and human factors projects throughout the UK and Europe, working with many blue chip commercial companies and leading public sector organisations to provide UX and accessibility support.  With a background in engineering psychology, Chris has worked on projects for a wide range of digital platforms including interactive TV, public kiosks, web and mobile.

Besides courses delivered through User Vision, Chris also delivers UX & usability training for Econsultancy, and has delivered in-house and public courses in Europe and the Middle East.  

Areas of specialism: Information architecture, user research, interaction design principles, UX strategy, conversion rate optimisation and eCommerce usability.

Understanding and defining the context of use: procedures for analysis, observation, interview, personas, scenarios, user groups

Usability Testing and other evaluation methods: step-by-step approach in running a usability test, typical errors, heuristic evaluation, questionnaires

  • Module 1: UX Course – 2-day classroom course, £975 + VAT
    Apr 16: 09:00 – 17:00
    Apr 17: 09:00 – 17:00
  • Module 2: Crash Course – Half-day intensive review of the entire curriculum and rehearsal certification test, £235 + VAT
    Apr 18: 09:00 – 13:00
  • Module 3: Certification –Test and certification, £290 + VAT
    Apr 18: 14:00 – 16:00

If you want to prepare yourself completely on your own (only taking module 3), you can do this and you will find the syllabus (curriculum) on the UXQB website.

To gain certification, you must pass the 75 minute test that consists of 40 multiple choice questions. To pass, you must score at least 28 points out of the 40 possible.
