We’re delighted to say that Chris has recently passed the qualification exam for the foundation certification for the International Usability and User Experience Qualification Board (UXQB).
This certification allows User Vision to provide this foundation level and advanced courses as and when they become available. We’ll let you know the dates and locations of this UX certification training but if you have any questions in the meantime please get in touch.
Since 2013 the UXQB has promoted a unified international certification program on user experience methods for UX professionals in association with the User Experience Professionals’ Association (UXPA). This is through a certification program “CPUX – Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience” which allows professionals to objectively demonstrate competence in the areas of usability and user experience.
The certification, which is independently assessed/certified by iSQI, is also valuable for client-side project managers, software developers and designers who cooperate with usability professionals so that they can understand the basic concepts and processes of usability engineering.
A key attraction of the CPUX certification is its transparency and its foundation in recognized standards, in particular ISO 9241, and the experience of leading practitioners worldwide.
The glossary and example test questions are publicly available and the certification program will be continuously improved based on experience and feedback and expanded into specific areas of user experience, including usability testing, user requirements engineering, interaction specification, information architecture and prototyping, and usability engineering.
We look forward to future specific modules and participating in future training and certification efforts of the UXQB.
