User Vision wins place on central government supplier roster

Edinburgh-based user experience consultancy User Vision has won a place on the new Central Office of Information (COI) Digital Media roster.

The new roster, announced last week following a comprehensive review by the COI is worth an estimated £9 million in total, and attracted a record 270 applications from a variety of suppliers of digital services including web design, development, solutions and measurement.

User Vision wins a place on the roster to provide user experience evaluation and analytics services for government web sites – further underlining the COI’s increased emphasis upon usability and accessibility in recent months.

Jamie Galloway, COI‘s Director of Digital Media comments:

The new roster reflects changes in the media landscape and audience behaviour which provide new opportunities for digital marketers.

We now have a wider range of agencies, some delivering highly specialised services, and have significantly strengthened our usability and accessibility offering as these areas are critical to delivering effective communications.

Chris Rourke, Director of User Vision comments:

This appointment by the COI is both a great testament to the team’s hard work, and an excellent endorsement for the importance of web usability and accessibility.

Government services are a key area of focus for us, and we look forward to working with the COI on successful projects over the coming months and years.

The COI becomes the latest major organisation to appoint User Vision to its list of preferred suppliers. The company was recently awarded a three-year place on the roster of the Scottish Executive Framework, as well as securing a position on the BBC roster.

Other recent additions to User Vision’s ever-growing client list include Orange, Emirates Airlines, Prudential, Scottish Life, Future Skills Scotland and Learning Teaching Scotland.
